<pub-date> Publication Date
Container element for the parts of a single date associated with a book’s
publication (for example, the date a preprint chapter was released, the date a book
was published in
print or as an eBook).
Usage/Remarks
As part of the book metadata or book part metadata, the <pub-date> is allowed to repeat; each repetition can take @publication-format and @date-type attributes to distinguish which form of
publication, for example, print publication, eBook publication, web
distribution, etc.
