Examples of Schematron Tests

• Lab Report articles may have no more than six authors
• All citations must be referenced
• Every figure must be referenced at least once and not more than five times
• Issue number must be an integer between one and 88
• No duplicate keywords are allowed
• The number of the first page of an article must be less than the number of the last page. However, Last Word articles begin on the last page of the issue and may be continued on a previous inside page
• All publication dates must be valid ISO dates,
  unless the <season> element is present
• An abstract must be a single paragraph
• All Opinion columns must have a contributor of type “editor”
  except in journals of the no-name society
