The type or kind of a term (<term>), for example, “acronym”.

| Restriction | @term-type is an optional attribute; there is no default. |
Suggested usage
Although this attribute can take any value, Best Practice recommendation is to use one of the following values, first defined in NISO STS and alter adopted by JATS:
abbreviation | The term is an abbreviation. |

fullForm | The term is the full form of a word or phrase. |
symbol | The term is a symbol. |
variant | This is a variant term, such as an expanded term. |
formula | The term is a formula. |
equation | The term is an equation. |
