Value Meaning
primary The text has a more central focus than other language variants in the group. In display, such text is typically made more prominent or may be the only focus displayed.
secondary The text is not the primary textual focus in the language group. In display, such text is typically less prominent.
undefined No recommendation is made concerning the relative focus of the language variants, thus all variants are intended to be displayed in the same way. In display, all alternative language variants are typically displayed in document order. This is typically the default behavior if no @lang-focus is specified.
custom The language relationship is not any of the specific values just listed. The @lang-focus-custom attribute should be used to specify the relationship.
Restriction @lang-focus is an optional attribute; there is no default.
