indent-level

Indentation Level

This numeric attribute indicates the level of indent of a line of verse (<verse-line>), relative to the entire verse or stanza (<verse-group>) in which the line is found.

Remarks

Units of Measure: Note that the units in which indents are measured are left up to the application; only relative positioning (“1” for level 1 indentation, “2” for level 2 indentation, etc.) is recorded in this attribute.
Formatting Verse: Although it is not the practice of JATS to encode “look-and-feel” of a document, sometimes poetry, like tables, is all about formatting. There are four attributes on the various verse elements that deal with format:

Used on Element: <verse-line>
