<volume> Volume Number within a Series, Cited

Number of a volume within a series.

Usage/Remarks

The <volume> element may be used as part of a description of a cited work inside a bibliographic reference (<element-citation> or <mixed-citation>) or as part of a related object or product description. This element is not used in book or collection metadata.
Related Elements
Within citations or a product description, the related <volume-id> element is used to record an identifier, such as a DOI.
Within the metadata for a book, the book volume elements are <book-volume-number> and <book-volume-id>, and the collection volume element is <volume-in-collection>.
